Bobbie Bear is planning a vacation and wants to know how many outfits can be made using different colored shirts and pants.

Click here to play Bobbie Bear in Spanish.

This interactive is optimized for your desktop and tablet.

The goal of the interactive is to find out how many outfits you can make with the given amount of shirts and pants.

  • Click New Game to move on to a new problem.
  • Click Customize to choose a new number of shirts and pants.
  • Click the audio box to turn the audio on and off.

How to Use

  • Click on a shirt or a pair of pants and drag it over Bobbie Bear. Release the mouse button to place that item on Bobbie. When a complete outfit is made, that outfit will show up below Bobbie. Continue to select different combinations of shirt and pants, until you find all possible ways to outfit Bobbie.
  • At any time, you can enter the amount of outfits you think Bobbie Bear can make in the upper right hand corner of the interactive.

Help Bobbie Bear make as many different outfits as you can.

  • How many outfits do you think can be made?
  • How do you know when you have made all the outfits?
  • If you are missing an outfit, how do you find out which one it is?
  • How can you organize your work to make answering these questions easier?
  • Try your strategy for more shirts and pants using the Customize button.
